Laurel is in Maryland, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Laurel is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Maryland's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Small rest area for Semi Trucks, limited spots, but otherwise lovely and sprawling rest place with facilities. This is a special piece of land with shady hilly meadows all around. Heaven for puppies. Face to face with a beautiful deer! π«’π¦ Bonus on full moon tonight: Jupiter Venus and Mercury! π

We had driven several times from NY or NJ down to FL and this is by far the worst rest stop. It smells of urine as soon as one opens the door, terrible pet area, oldest restroom stalls and the list can keep going. Overall, driving through Maryland is a bad experience. Drivers donβt obey lane switching laws and the highways are filthy.

There is plenty of truck parking. The restrooms were closed today. They had many portable toilets on site. I am not sure if this place will be shutting down soon. It is definitely in need of an upgrade. The grounds are kept well. Vending is available.

It was okay. Ladies restroom was pretty clean but the mens was not so clean. All the appliances and decor were from the 80βs. Needs a little updating. Grounds was lacking some love. Other than that, good place to stretch your legs and itβs pet friendly. They have a welcome area sticker with the usual brochures, maps and relevant information about Maryland. Vending machines were well stocked and they had a few small pavilions and picnic tables scattered about. It was busy when we stopped at 10:30am. A lot of truckers. However, there was plenty of parking for cars and lots of shade.
